  1. Symptom levels of anxiety and depression were assessed using STAI- (min-max = 20–80) and EPDS-questionnaires (min-max = 0–30) during pregnancy. Cut-off values STAI > 42 and EPDS > 11 indicate moderate symptom levels of anxiety and depression, respectively
  2. Differences were tested using independent sample t-tests, Mann–Whitney U tests, and Chi2 tests of independence where appropriate
